As part of our 240th year celebrations, Deakin & Francis is proud to announce a meaningful new partnership with Parkinson's UK, launching a special edition Sterling Silver Signet Ring created to celebrate the charity’s entry into this year’s RHS Chelsea Flower Show.
Bringing together heritage craftsmanship and thoughtful design, this striking 12x14mm Oval Signet Ring has been handcrafted in Birmingham by our skilled artisans. At the centre of the piece sits 2 beautifully hand-painted pink roses, chosen by a panel from Parkinson's UK and inspired by the charity’s Chelsea Flower Show garden - a space designed to offer quiet, calm, safety and tranquillity.
The rose is scentless, thoughtfully symbolising one of the lesser-known effects of Parkinson’s, as many people living with the condition sadly lose their sense of smell. It also represents the resilience, patience and strength shown every day by those affected by the condition.

SPECIAL EDITION SIGNET RING FOR PARKINSON'S UK >
Designed in-house by the Deakin & Francis creative team, the ring showcases the artistry and precision that have defined the business for generations. The floral motif is brought to life using traditional vitreous enamelling — a highly skilled technique requiring both patience and expertise.
Finely ground glass powder is mixed with an oil-based medium and carefully applied by hand in delicate layers. Each layer is dried and fired at high temperatures before a protective clear flux is added to create a smooth, luminous finish. This meticulous process is repeated several times to achieve exceptional depth, colour and detail, ensuring that every ring is naturally unique.

Deakin & Francis is proud to support this important collaboration, with 10% of all sales donated to Parkinson's UK to help fund its vital work supporting people living with Parkinson’s and driving forward research.
A word from our Managing Director, Henry Deakin:
“Our relationship with Parkinson’s UK is one that holds deep personal meaning. Following my journey from John o’ Groats to Land’s End, I was honoured to have raised over £100,000 for Parkinson’s UK — a charity that means a great deal to my family, as my father lives with this devastating condition.
Since completing the ride, I have remained closely connected with the team at Parkinson’s UK. As Deakin & Francis marks its 240th anniversary, alongside an exciting new chapter for the brand, it felt both natural and meaningful to collaborate once again with the charity — this time through the lens of our heritage and craftsmanship.
In celebration of Parkinson’s UK being honoured with a rose at the Chelsea Flower Show, we have created a distinguished signet ring, meticulously handcrafted in Birmingham by our skilled artisans. This piece has been conceived not only as an object of beauty, but as a symbol of awareness and support for an extraordinary cause.
We are immensely proud of this creation and look forward to its launch later this year, with the ambition of raising both funds and awareness for Parkinson’s UK.”

This special edition signet ring is more than a piece of jewellery - it is a symbol of craftsmanship, compassion and enduring support. We are honoured to bring this collaboration to life and to stand alongside Parkinson's UK in raising awareness through meaningful design.
