How To Create Your Signet Ring

Most customers like to start by selecting their preferred shape for the head of the Signet Ring. We offer both traditional Oval and classic Cushion designs.

Whilst the Oval shape is considered the most traditional and popular, the Cushion has a broader face that is ideal for a larger coat of arms, family crest, or initials.

The choice of metal defines both the character and longevity of your Signet Ring. Each metal carries its own history, tone and wearing qualities, and selecting the right one ensures your ring feels as personal as the design it carries.

Choose between 9ct or 18ct Yellow, White, and Rose Gold, all responsibly sourced using Single Mine Origin, or opt for our sustainably sourced Sterling Silver.

Our Signet Rings are available with various face sizes. Our Oval designs range from 10.5x8.5mm to 16.5x14mm, and our Cushion designs start at 9x11mm through to 16.5x15mm.

Your chosen face size should reflect both the proportions of your hand and the detail of the design you wish to engrave.

Next you will need to select your ring finger size. If you're unsure of this, you can either order one of our adjustable finger size gauges, or alternatively, measure your finger using a strip of paper. Make sure the paper is wrapped around tightly to find the correct fit. Mark the spot where the paper meets and measure this distance with a ruler in mm. Once you have that, please refer to our ring size chart. It is recommended to measure your finger at the end of the day when they are warm and at their largest. Please note that alcohol, excess salt and caffeine can also affect ring size.

Engraving is where your Signet Ring becomes truly unique. When ordering via our website, you can add personalised initials or upload your own family crest or coat of arms, which our master engravers will skilfully translate into metal.

If you are unsure of your family crest, we are often able to research and source this on your behalf. For those without an existing crest, our world-class designers can create a bespoke design that symbolises your family name and values.
