FAQs answered
What is sterling silver?
Sterling silver is a metal alloy composed of 92.5% pure silver and 7.5% of other metals like copper. Sterling silver is much more durable and long lasting than ‘pure’ silver, which means that it can be used for jewellery pieces like solid silver cufflinks. Sterling silver cufflinks also differ from other products that might be described as silver but simply be silver plated.
Can silver cufflinks be engraved?
As with our range of 18ct gold cufflinks, sterling silver cufflinks can also be hand engraved. Our in-house engravers can personalise men’s silver cufflinks with initials or a memorable date, making them an ideal gift or statement accessory. As we have been designing and manufacturing the world’s finest sterling silver cufflinks since 1786, you can rest assured that every pair of personalised cufflinks are given the high attention to detail it deserves. Sterling silver cufflinks are a great accessory to add to your attire. Add silver cufflinks to your outfit at an event like a wedding or business meeting to add something unique to your appearance for a distinguished finish to your attire. With hundreds of designs available in our range, you’ll be able to pick out a pair of sterling silver cufflinks for any occasion.
How do you clean and polish silver cufflinks?
As with all sterling silver, cufflinks can get tarnished over time. The best option for cleaning silver cufflinks is a cleaning solution or jewellery cloth, as this will prevent the silver from being scratched. Once rinsed with warm water and left to dry, use a silver polishing cloth to achieve a highly polished finish for your cufflinks.
